Chris Alexander’s Priority Issues

Restart toronto’s economic engine:

Create a US Tariff Response Plan: new bsuiness investment grant, small business bridge support program, faster, cheaper licensing, more favourable commercial property tax rates, sector adaption tables, Canadian procurement, leveraging and leading team Canada

Get torontonians moving faster:

First 30 days pledge to get Toronto working, a transit safety and performance standard measured and published monthly, and a public delay ledger for every transit project

Put housing in reach:

Toronto Rental Strategy, faster approvals, pathways to ownership for young Torontonians and new Canadians

Be ambitious for toronto:

The institutions strategy: our hospitals, universities and exchange working as one advantage; The talent case: make it plain to every young person that their career will move forward here and their sector or industry will thrive here; Toronto as anchor partner to Ottawa and Queen’s Park on every national strategy

Strengthen neighbourhoods:

Ward by ward service standards, parks and public spaces (cleanliness and safety standards), and scale up the Toronto Community Crisis Service into a Toronto Community Support Service with a broader mandate to help people in need and support strong neighbourhoods
