Lawrence-Zachary Howe’s Priority Issues

Trimodal port formation:

London will establish a municipally owned short-rail corporation and inland trimodal port to generate massive non-tax commercial revenue from the North American supply chain while reducing local truck traffic and homeowner tax burdens.

Municipal construction company:

Establish an in-house, non-profit construction service to eliminate corporate markups and cost delays, keeping infrsatructure spending inside the city budget

Building height enforcement:

The city will strictly enforce its 15-storey building height limit to halt concrete sprawl and permanently protect London’s historic “Forest City” skyline.

Triple-core model:

By transitioning London from a single-hub to a triple-hub city, a triangle of service centre infrastructure for transit, utilities, and emergency services would be created. This would drastically lower municipal service costs – costs which rise exponentially away from a core- allowing for a significantly more uniform delivery of city services across London.

Oversight transparency:

To enforce absolute government accountability, withholding raw financial data or documents from City Council oversight will be treated as a fireable offense for bureaucrats.

Police accountability:

The police service must clear cases and drastically improve priority response times to prove competency and resource efficiency before receiving any budget increases.

Municipal vertical farms:

Combat local food insecurity by running eco-friendly, volunteer powered vertical farms

Authorized resident repairs:

Certified tradespeople and engineers will be licensed to perform minor side-road reparis out of their own pockets, accelerating maintenacne while city inspectors verify the quality

Business recycling collection:

The city will reclaim local commercial collection routes from a private monopoly, restoring street-level receptacles and recycling pickup to 535 affected businesses and non-profits at virtually no cost.

Historic buildings protection:

A new by-law will strip municipal licenses from any contractors or executives who destroy historic properties, while the city uses expropriation to actively buy back heritage sites.
