2024

Solidarity Beyond Borders: TCMV in Palestine

TCMV joined a historic delegation alongside MPs and national organizations to witness and document the humanitarian crisis in Palestine. This trip sparked deep reflection, international solidarity, and renewed commitment to global justice.

Fellowship

TCMV's Civic Leadership Fellowship grew to new heights in 2024, launching cohorts in Ottawa and Vancouver alongside Toronto. Fellows gained hands-on experience, heard from political changemakers, and left empowered to lead meaningful change in their communities.

Grassroots in Action: TCMV at the Mississauga By-Election

During the Mississauga Mayoral By-Election, TCMV mobilized volunteers, hosted community outreach efforts, and ensured the Muslim community had the information and tools to make their voices heard on local issues that matter.

From Conversation to Change: Women in Politics

TCMV hosted Women in Politics, a powerful panel event amplifying the voices of Muslim women in leadership. Inspiring stories, real challenges, and meaningful conversations fueled a growing movement toward gender equity in civic life.

GOVT: Federal Lasalle by-election

TCMV engaged with local Muslim leaders and community members to promote voter turnout and highlight the importance of civic participation in smaller municipalities, demonstrating that every vote—and every voice—matters.

Beyond the Vote Summit

TCMV hosted its first-ever large-scale summit, uniting fellows, leaders, and changemakers from across the country. The event sparked critical conversations and action-oriented strategies for civic engagement that goes far beyond election day.

Little League Outreach

Through interactive workshops and school partnerships, TCMV’s Little League introduced youth to the foundations of civic engagement—empowering the next generation of informed, confident, and community-driven changemakers.

2023

Launched the Civic Leadership Institute

In 2023, The Canadian-Muslim Vote (TCMV) launched the Civic Leadership Institute (CLI) to empower Canadian Muslims in politics and civic engagement through three key streams: the Fellowship Program, the TCMV Library, and the Little League.

Toronto Mayor Election

During the 2023 Toronto mayoral by-election, The Canadian-Muslim Vote (TCMV) played a pivotal role in educating and informing voters within the Muslim community.

Inaugural Fellowship Program

In 2023, The Canadian-Muslim Vote (TCMV) introduced its inaugural Fellowship Program in Toronto as part of the Civic Leadership Institute (CLI), aiming to empower young Canadian Muslims with the skills and networks necessary for active political engagement.

2022

Ontario Election Get Out The Vote (GOTV) Campaign

During the 2022 Ontario general election, The Canadian-Muslim Vote (TCMV) conducted a major Get Out The Vote (GOTV) campaign, targeting approximately 500,000 Muslim voters across the province.

2019

Eid al-Fitr Dinner

TCMV hosted a gala dinner in Toronto to celebrate Eid al-Fitr, attended by then Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, over 75 elected officials, media personalities, and approximately 1,000 guests.

Muslim Vote Weekend

In the lead-up to the federal election, TCMV launched the "Muslim Vote Weekend" campaign.
