
Fareeda Baruwa
Fareeda is a 4th year Commerce student, pursuing a minor in ‘Law, Justice, and Order’ at McMaster University. Her passions around advocacy and EDI have propelled her to hold several leadership positions throughout her undergraduate career. Within McMaster’s Muslim Students Association, she facilitated Anti-Racism training workshops, compiled policy documents, and founded an Anti-Black Racism committee to address the issues of racism in the Muslim Community. Moreover, within her Faculty, she conducted focus groups and drafted EDI proposals that served to improve the student experience of equity deserving groups on campus. Outside of work and school, Fareeda is a poet, writer, and seeker of knowledge.
