Fatima Asghar
Fatima Asghar is extremely passionate about serving her community through her work in health policy and government, with a focus on inclusive and responsive public service. She served as a Policy Advisor to the Minister of Health, where she led research and policy development on key health issues, including mental health, autism, sexual and reproductive health, cancer and health equity. Her work is deeply driven by a passion for improving outcomes for women and children within the healthcare system, ensuring that policies reflect their unique needs and lived experiences. Her past roles include Legislative Affairs Manager and Constituency Assistant for MP Mark Holland, where she helped shape legislation and supported constituents. Her recent studies in immigration and citizenship law at Queen’s University have allowed Fatima to use her policy and community experience to help newcomers navigate complex systems and feel a true sense of belonging in Canada.
