Leen Zakkar

Leen Zakkar is student in Honours Political Science, minoring in Global Peace and Social Justice at McMaster University. Leen sits on the provincial and federal affairs committee for the McMaster Student’s Union. Her drive to be a change maker and her goal to inspire other muslims lead to her involvement in the Fellowship program. She currently works at Immigration, Refugee, Citizenship Canada (IRCC) as a program assistant. As an active member in the Muslim community, Leen’s future goal is to bridge the gap between Muslims and involvement in politics in order to strengthen the community’s voice and play a role in the Canadian society.
