Omer Faraz
Omer is a medical student at the University of Galway, and a former student at the University of British Columbia, who has a vested interest in politics and how it shapes the current Canadian political landscape. Omer is also a spinal cord injury rehabilitation & neuromodulation clinical researcher at the Krassioukov Lab in Vancouver, BC. Growing up in both Northern BC and the Lower Mainland, Omer is passionate about several causes; a systemic lack of resources that plague rural Canadian healthcare, as well as housing and transit policies that shape urban areas across the country. In 2022, Omer was named one of Surrey’s Top 25 under 25 for his community and leadership efforts in his local community. In his free time, you’ll find him spending time with family and friends, at the mosque, or training for a marathon.
