
Sarrah Mojadeddi
As a recent graduate in a joint honours in economics and political science, I have had extensive volunteering experience setting up projects in villages to help educate children and create income opportunities for women in need during my time living in Indonesia as well as taking part in both UNICEF and the Afghan student association at UOttawa. I have also been involved with many UOttawa political events such as model parliament and the diplomatic simulation working on expanding my knowledge and political engagement. In May I was also given the privilege to go to UBC to partake in their second annual Placement, Preservation, and Perseverance conference on Afghan scholars, students, and activists. Focusing on exploring the multifaceted nature of mentorship within the Afghan diaspora and how to build cross-generational mentorship networks.
