
Soraya Elchehimi
Soraya Elchehimi has been a dedicated municipal employee with the City of Surrey since 2021, leveraging their extensive background in community leadership to drive positive change. With a decade of experience leading youth programs in mosques and community centers, Soraya has been an advocate for the Muslim community. Notably, served as President of Simon Fraser University’s MSA for two years, ensuring a supportive environment for Muslim students, staff and faculty. Their commitment to addressing systemic inequality and fostering civic engagement is evident in their work and advocacy. Additionally, they have a background in UX/UI & Product Design, majoring in interactive systems with a concentration in design from SFU. Her focus has been on user research and design, ensuring she creates products and applications that provide user-centric solutions to elevate businesses by understanding users.
