Syeda Javeria Hasan

Javeria Hasan is a second-year medical student at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, holding a BSc from the University of Waterloo. With a strong interest in community building, human rights advocacy, and mental wellbeing, Javeria actively engages in mentoring pre-med students from marginalized groups, raising awareness about mental health, and providing peer support. Passionate about women’s rights, Javeria also dedicates her time to fundraising for women’s support services. In the realm of politics, Javeria has organized protests, led education campaigns, held meetings with MPs, and moderated a Town Hall, all in the pursuit of fighting for important social issues. During her free time, Javeria indulges in reading, painting, and hiking.
