Zelal Nur Kaya

Zelal is currently pursuing an Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences in Conflict Studies and Human Rights at the University of Ottawa. On campus, Zelal is involved with the university’s Islamic Relief Organization where she is the Vice President of external affairs. Previously, she served as the director of the annual Orphan sponsor program. Prior to her volunteer work in Ottawa, Zelal was the McMichael Canadian Art Collection’s Youth Chair. During the summer of 2022, Zelal was a project coordinator for the Fredericton Chamber of Commerce and Ignite Fredericton where she helped explore the health ecosystem of the Fredericton region.
