Quebec’s provincial election is taking place on October 5, 2026.
Here is what you need to know before you vote.

There are also additional voting options for people in certain circumstances, including voting at a returning officer’s office and other special arrangements. You can find the full list of options through Élections Québec.

Quebec has 127 electoral districts, each represented by one elected member in the National Assembly.

When you vote, you will elect a Member of the National Assembly (MNA) to represent your electoral district.

An MNA may belong to a political party or may run as an independent candidate.
A party needs 64 of the 127 seats to hold a majority in the National Assembly and form a majority government.

You will also receive election information by mail.
Your notice of entry confirms whether you are registered on the list of electors and provides information about where you can vote during advance polling.

A yellow reminder card will be mailed during the week of September 28. It will indicate where you should vote on October 5 and will include the list of candidates in your electoral district. The yellow card is not required to vote and is not a piece of identification.
